Formulasi dan Uji Stabilitas Fisik Sediaan Body Scrub dari Ampas Kopi Arabica (Coffee arabica)

Abstract

Body scrub is a cosmetic product that has the function of helping speed up the turnover of new skin cells, removing dirt and oil by massaging it all over the body. One of the natural ingredients that can be used in making body scrubs is coffee, where coffee contains ingredients that are good for use as a skin care ingredient and fine grains as a scrub. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the proportion of Arabica coffee grounds on the finished product as seen from the stability of its physical quality. The research method used is experimental in the laboratory. The body scrub formulation is made in 3 formulas (F0, F1, and F2) by varying the ratio of the amount of coffee grounds. The weight of each formula is 100 g. Quality stability test physical preparation includes organoleptics, pH, spreadability, and homogeneity. The test results showed that the preparations made had met the requirements for good physical quality.
