Abstract

One of the health promotion initiatives carried out by the Sentolo II Community Health Centre 
involves using WhatsApp to provide close monitoring of pregnant women, enabling midwives to send 
informative messages on pregnancy care and antenatal care services. It is hoped that this will 
improve pregnant women’s knowledge of pregnancy care and encourage them to attend follow-up 
antenatal appointments. Research Objective: to determine the relationship between close monitoring 
of pregnant women via a smart messaging app and their level of knowledge regarding pregnancy care 
and the regularity of follow-up visits at the Sentolo II Community Health Centre in Kulon Progo
